Description
A photographic trip specifically aimed at nature and bird photographers centred on the breeding display of the Little Bustard and carrion-feeding birds, particularly the Lammergeier and the Griffon Vulture. The uncultivated margins and dryland crops of the Terres de Lleida, the steppes, are one of the most unique habitats in Catalonia, and almost certainly one of the least known. In spite of the harsh climate the steppes are home to plants and animals which are very scarce in other parts of Europe, such as the Little Bustard (Tetrax tetrax). The Lammergeier (Gypaetus barbatus) is the rarest vulture in Catalonia. With its characteristic moustache (beard) dangling below its bill and its orangey coloration which it gets from sand bathing on ferrous rocks this vulture has a very particular appearance. The photographic trip will take the photographer to different areas in order to photograph these and other species. |

Price
The price includes the whole trip with transport, all meals, guiding, use of hides, and accommodation in a twin en-suite room. Transport to and from Lleida city (for an additional supplement you can be met at the airport; alternatively we can help you purchase your fast train ticket to take you from Reus or Barcelona airport to Lleida city).
